The History of Butter Chicken (NDTV)


Wherever I may travel in the world, after 7 days of eating local food, I crave a plate of Butter Chicken and naan. I have eaten butter chicken in cities far and wide from Kyoto (Japan) to New York (USA) and Siem Reap (Cambodia). I have even done a butter chicken hunt in Singapore, to find the best the city has to offer. This love for the dish prompted me to turn the pages of history and uncover how it came to be. When I spoke to the man who's family brought it to India, I realised that it was thanks to the partition that India found butter chicken. Read its fascinating history here
